“What makes Michael a wonderful teacher is his combination of emotional and musical intelligence. Not only is he a professional on multiple instruments and music theory, but he also understands his students. He meets each individual at their level of musical ability to help them excel. In addition, Michael intersperses his lessons with wisdom that goes beyond learning to play an instrument. Importantly, he has taught my daughter that tasks that she may have thought of as too daunting only seem so, but that she can master them by approaching them ‘little by little’. Also, she has learned that when she makes a mistake, she still needs to continue her playing. Michael is a patient and talented teacher who cares deeply for his students and about music.”
